The coil winding technique was incredibly intricate and precise; without precisely stacked coils, performance will be negatively impacted. On top of that, the operators jumped at the chance to raise the maximum spill capacity by more than 20%. Third Powerplant Upgrades Increase Capacity

Not only were the Third Powerplant’s turbines and generators upgraded, but so was the supporting infrastructure. Increased power loads necessitated renovation and expansion of the transformer yard.
